Whimsical Modern Wedding by Karen Feder Photography

29 May

This whimsical modern wedding took place at Cafe and Bar Lurcat in Minneapolis.  How gorgeous is the detailing of this bride’s Demetrios fit and flare wedding dress?  I adore the yellow and gray color palette and sophisticated modern vibe of the urban venue.  The couple made their day especially memorable and unique by hiring a painter to create a piece of artwork during their reception to remember their special day.  What a creative idea!

From the Photographer: It never intended to happen (well it really never does!).  Ryan was in his hum-drum of every day life at the office, when by chance he met Kelly.  She was kind-hearted and had many of the same interests as he did.  After a couple of months of passing by chance at the office, the two decided to go out for drinks and ended up talking for 4-5 hours.  A few days later Ryan called Kelly for their official first date.  Not too long after that, the couple planned a trip up to northern Minnesota to view the changing fall leaves.  A year later they decided to go on that same trip.  On the first night Ryan went out for “groceries” and decorated the bonfire pit at the resort, got a fire going and tried to calm his nerves while Kelly was unpacking in their room not knowing what was going to happen next!  When Ryan came back, he escorted her down to the pit and proposed!

Mill Ruins Engagement Session by Bryan Jonathan Weddings

28 May

This adorable couple’s Spring engagement session took place in Minneapolis, beginning at the Mill Ruins Park in Minneapolis and ending at the Stone Arch Bridge overlooking the city skyline.  How cute are her pink high heels?  I’m loving her unique engagement ring and their ensemble with her bright pink shirt and heels and his spiffy pinstripe vest with a pink and navy check tie.  It’s the perfect combo of casual yet chic.  Their photographer, Bryan Jonathan Weddings, captured their infectious smiles and playful personality amazingly.

From the Photographer: Great smiles, pink heels, a killer vest, and a one-of-a-kind engagement ring are all the necessary ingredients for a perfect e-session.  Ben and Jess have the most authentic smiles when they are together and compliment each other perfectly.  Our engagement shoot started at Mill Ruins Park near the Guthrie and ended overlooking the Minneapolis skyline on the Stone Arch Bridge.  It was a beautiful evening with a beautiful couple.  Ben and Jess’s wedding is just around the corner in August and if this photo shoot is any indication then it should be a great time.
