Northern Minnesota Engagement Session by LaCoursiere Photography

Laura and Dave both moved to Duluth to attend college at the University of Minnesota.  After college, they met through a mutual friend and soon hit it off after discovering their shared love for the outdoors.  This adorable couple kept their engagement session casual, incorporated the outdoors and included their dogs.  Stay tuned tomorrow for their stunning North Shore wedding.

From Laura: Dave and I both moved to Duluth to attend UMD.  Although, it wasn’t until after college that we actually met.  One of my former classmates lived with Dave and invited me over.  We met and discovered we both loved the outdoors–especially spending time on the water.  Since it was winter, our first few “dates” were casual and consisted mostly of walking our dogs together.  Once summer hit, we took our first fishing trip together and “the rest is history,” as they say.  I loved his easy-going attitude and sense of humor.  Dave, the avid fisherman, jokes that he was smitten the second I got my first walleye on the line.  After nearly 5 years of dating, Dave proposed to me, while on Lake Kabetogama.  My family has a cabin on the lake, and it is one of my favorite places in the world, which made our engagement that much more exquisite!

From the Photographer: This wonderful couple may be one of the sweetest couples ever, and super funny I may add.  They are full heart outdoors people, especially Dave! He’s the fisher and Laura his ship mate.  Laura’s exact words were she wanted an engagement session because they had no photos of them together that did not involve fish.
